Please note that cost and time estimates stated on this site are just that: estimates. Some stocking jobs have unforeseen challenges that require extra time or tools and the price may go up within reason to accommodate for expenses and time.

If the work requested is sufficiently complex, and will take more than a few days time to complete, a deposit will be required. Please note if you are requesting an entire restocking job a 50% deposit of the estimated cost is required.

Complete Restocking w/o Finish, Checkering, or Engraving: $3,500.00

From our 4-axis pantograph machine, to fitting, hand shaping, and hand sanding, your stock is now ready for your choice of high gloss urethane finish, or a more delicate process of oil hand rubbing. Will include adding ebony to grip cap or ebony butt stock. Will install metal grip caps and butt plates.

Note: The customer must purchase their own blank and stock furnishings like recoil pads, grip caps, ebony, etc. Francia and Francia does not sell blanks or furnishings.

High Gloss Urethane Finish: $1,200

A minimum of four coats, up to five coats, polished to a high gloss finish.

Hand Rubbed Oil Finish: $1,500

Traditional European style hand rubbing with the pores filled. Great care and attention to detail make hand rubbed oil a more time consuming and delicate process than the urethane finish.

Checkering: $500+

Price based on complexity of design, amount of panels, lines per inch. Fish Scale pattern available.

Custom Stock Wood Engraving: $600+ (requires $200 deposit for design phase)

Frank can engrave any picture you want into your gunstock, though wild life scenes are his favorite. Frank loves to work out a design with his client’s input, or he can create a totally unique custom engraving for you that nobody else has or will ever have! Price based on complexity of design. Please note these take extreme care and attention to detail so the time to complete will certainly go up if the design is complex.
